I'm looking for suggestions on job costing for a contractor. I am a new user of QB Pro 04 (used to using Peachtree) Anyway, some of the materials used on the job are purchased, so I simply enter those as a bill and note the appropriate job. However, there are several items used out of inventory. Should I be using the Adjust Qty/Value on Hand found under inventory activities?
Thanks in advance for advice on job costing for a contractor.

| If those inventory items are set up as Invenoty-Parts, you should be able to list them as an item on the estimate and invoice and they will automatically be reduced from inventory. |
