Hello. I've been reading over these forums and have ordered the free CD. I am forced to find a new career and my curiosity is piqued about this as a possibility. I love working with numbers and computers. However I have a question that I'm not sure if it can even be answered. Is there anyway to find out if this is something I’d be happy with in the long run? Is there any kind of a “bookkeeping interest/satisfaction” test? Any and all comments would be appreciated. Thanks

Lane, There are dozen's of sites you can check out that provide vocational testing. You like numbers, you like computers you're "forced to find a new career." It sound like this is a good match. I've just started the program and have completed the first module. The course is well presented, the material is easy to follow. They check in with you on a weekly basis, you have a coach you can contact. Following are some results I got from Google by typing in "Career profile test" Accounting. Good Luck Jack

American Career Test - Career aptitude test matches personality traits with career aptitude characteristics, providing ranking of career suggestions.

AnalyzeMyCareer.com - Offers aptitude tests, personality tests, occupational interest inventories and career guidance. Developed by Dr. Lankford.

Bigapplehead.com - BigAppleHead.com is an Internship and Entry Level job listing board specifying in the New York Metro Area.

Campbell Interest and Skill Survey - Measures self-reported vocational interests and skills. Similar to traditional interest inventories, the CISS interest scales reflect an individual's attraction for specific occupational areas.

CareeFitter - A career test that uncovers one's best occupational matches. Provides career research and a full career test report.

Career Development Profiler - Includes tests for motivation, work interests, personality, and a comprehensive questionnaire to help the test-taker develop their own Career Development Action Plan.

The Career Key - Offers a brief career test.

Career Maze - Online assessment of vocational strengths, weaknesses, interests, and capabilities.
