| Does this program have any accreditation or is it licensed by some authority? |

If you are asking about CPE check with your state
accounting board. You more than likely have to send them a copy of the module outline. I personally checked with AIPB and ACAT and was told to check with the Minnesota Board of Accountancy. The problem is the board only meets
once a month or every two months. the first time I turned it in they lost it. Have not heard anything since. |

Thank you for the reply, Paul.
I should have clarified my question a little better. What I meant was, colleges/universities have accreditation by an educational authority for their degree programs. Is this program accredited, meaning, is the education I learn from this program accepted by educational accreditation authorities?
I have seen what key points they teach in the program, but does what they teach cover what one needs to know to go into a business and be able to do their books? This sounds like it is more of a hands-on program.
It would be nice if UAC could put a sample module on their site so I could get a better feel for the program (how it is taught, the quality of what is being taught, etc.) before I invest the money doing it.
Also, I know they have a money-back guarantee, but I would rather be sure of what I am getting into before I invest the money and resources. |

For a sample of the Professional Bookkeeper program
As for the Professional Bookkeeper program, it is not currently accredited such that you can use it to transfer credits to a university or college but it is often times used for CPE's.
You are correct in understanding that it is hands-on such that trains you to be proficient in accounting procedures with an emphasis in small-to-mid size accounting. |
