Hello eevrybody..I am new in this forum and i truly find it very helpful and informative. I am currently enrolled in tax course and at the same time self-studying the Universal Accounting course. I have one question to those who do taxes..how much do you charge you clients for a simple Form 1040 and Form 1040 with schedules.
I will greatly appreciate any feedback.Thank you.

| A simple 1040 charge can range from $75 to $125. With a Schedule A, you're getting up in the high 100's. There are some people that would do it for less, particularly if it's out of season. But, once tax season rolls around, I wouldn't consider doing it for less. |

| I feel that it depends on where you are located. I feel that where I am located my fees are very reasonable at $25 for a simple 1040 and $5 for each additional schedule. I am able to keep my fees low because I find ways to keep my costs low. |

I have been preparing taxes for three years. I am also trying to keep costs low, but my fees have to increase to meet current market fees. I am in DE and I have to compete with H&R Block and Jackson Hewitt. Most of the population uses one of these companies. I usually charge about $35 to $40 for a simple 1040 and $5 for additional schedules.
Good Luck
