Hello,
I have recently received a discount offer from Intuit regarding its QB Premier Accountant Edition,$120 off the retail price of ,I think,$500.I will appreciate if someone could tell me if this is a good substitute for QB Pro(what I was planning to obtain in the first place)or not.It says in its features something about write-up capability.
1-What is that exactly(write-up,I mean)?And how long will that feature be good in terms of years of usage without having to upgrade?
2-If I go ahead and buy this version(Accounting version),will that be good for,let's say,5 years or longer in terms of not having to upgrade it every year and just keep using it?
I am not really up for upgrading,I believe,that's extra money used for not much received,if one is really happy with the software and that if that can do the job for some good years to come if there is no increase in the clientele.
Thanks very much for help.

Hi Zaya;
First of all, your accounting program is an investment. It is one of the main tools in your business. I find the Quick books program to save me its cost many times over because of how easy it is to use.
Second, the most important feature of the accountant's version, is that the data will merge with other versions of QB. Otherwise, you must have the same version or year to trade data. I would lose half my clients if I couldn't 'talk' to their version of QB.
For instance, one of my clients maintains her accounts receivable and I keep all her books. I back up her latest work and restore it to an "invoice" company on my computer. I can restore my latest work to a company on her computer so she has all her information. |
