What is AIPB? How can I find out if Universal Accounting is accredited by NYS. After successfully completing the course how do become certified and is it done throught UA? How long is the Tax Course & it's cost? How long is the QuickBooks Course?

Unlike universal accounting which is a school,AIPB (American Institute of Public Bookkkeepers) is a nationally recognized organization that confers the certified bookkeeper designation on those that pass an extensive exam dealing with bookkeeping, payroll, and depreciation. They have courses that get you ready for the certification exam that also are recognized by most states for continuing education. They will recognize universals course for continuing ed purposes, but universal courses are not of much help in the exam. Why not do both?? That is what I did.

AIPB (American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers) is the orginaztion that offers the Certified Bookkeeper "CB" designation. <p> You asked about Universal being accredited by NYS. As the Corporate headquarters for Universal are in Utah we are fully registered with the State of Utah as a Post-Secondary school. <p> In reference to the Professional Tax Preparer program, it takes on average only 6 weeks to complete.
