Does anyone have experience working for a client who lives out of state. I have a potentual client who lives on the other side of the country. Is it feasible?

With the help of technology today you can have clients anywhere in the US (the world, for that matter). I have clients over 1,000 miles away and have very successfully worked with them.

I'm developing a system for my first client, where he, and his corporate bank account is in one state, the business, and its local bank account, is in another state, and I'm in a third. We're starting with fax machines (his GM is a technophobe), and slowly upgrading to quickbooks and something like pcanywhere for direct remote access.

We start with copies of invoices, receipts, checkbook registers, bank statements, etc., and online access to the bank accounts. We spend a lot of time on the phone devising procedures and standards. Then everything gets entered into quickbooks, and off we go!
