I am putting together a business card.
For starters I am getting a cell phone and putting that number on card. A second line costs too much at least here in Toronto. Don't want to put my home phone number on card.
Since will be working out of my home I believe its best not to put home address on card and just leave blank. Any comments? |

Frank,
I would suggest that you do put your home address on the business card. As taught in the Professional Bookkeepers course, your advantage is who you are, where you live and the fact that you are local and available. You will not have people showing up at your home. You can meet at their place of business and you will be able to go and pick up the work. If any one asks, just tell them that this is why your rate is so good, that you do not have to pay for overhead. I |

Frank,
I agree with David. If, however, you are still uncomfortable with putting your home address on your business cards you may want to consider getting a PO Box. There are also businesses such as Mail N Mor that allow you to basically rent an address so that it isn't a PO Box but it isn't your home address either. Instead it would be something such as 123 Main Street Unit 12. Best of luck.

I got a post office box at The UPS Store. So the address looks like: 123 Main Street PMB 100 City, State Zip.

Should I include a title under my name. I have business name and what to offer such as help lower taxes, increase profit & cash flow.[/quote] |

Hello Frank,
I think that an address on a business card shows stability. Using your home address is good because it shows that you are not trying to hide anything. I do go to my clients locations but I do have one client that comes to my home office monthly to drop off his work and pick it up when it is completed. I have another that lives right up the block so it is very convenient for him to stop by.
Some of your clients may be in the same boat and have an office at their home as well and don't want people showing up. (you have to meet somewhere at some point in time).
I wouldn't think that any of your clients would just drop in without setting up a time. Just make sure that your home office is in order.
Good Luck,
Carol |

| I've always used my home address on business cards and it's never been a problem. |
