After completing the UAC I am still having a difficult time finding clients. Followed the marketing plan with call backs with not much luck. Was wondering if sending out a flyer/brouchure offering a one month free bookkeeping service would attract any clients or make me look bad in the market area. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

SCOTT: JUST MY PERSONAL OPINION. I OFFER 1 MONTHS PAYROLL ON A FREE TRIAL BUT NEVER, I REPEAT NEVER, OFFER IT ON MY BKKPG SERVICE. MY GUARANTEE AND YOURS SHOULD STATE "YOUR COMPLETE SATISFACTION IS GUARANTEED." IF THEY ARE NOT HAPPY WITH YOU THEY ARE NOT GOING TO PAY ANYWAYS SO THEIR IS REALLY NO RISK IN OFFERING THE GUARANTEE. OF COURSE I AM ASSUMING YOU HAVE TAKEN THE UAC COURSE AND KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOUNG.

Don't sell yourself short. Set your price and be confident that you are worth every penny. Offer referral fees in the form of services, but don't give away your worth. It's a long road but you'll get there.

Hi Scott, I just wanted to say good question asked. I must agree with both your response given. I'm also just starting up recently passing the exam. I save my marketing for last and every day new ideals and goals arises. What I did first was sent out about 10 letter to see if I would get any response. However this is a two part format, you must follow up. Now I'm working trying to get friends and family owned business. Just to start slow and become comfortable. Next I will and you will grow. Good Luck in your new business. 3/19/05
