Could someone point me towards resources that could help me understand the pros, cons, barriers to entry and opportunities of providing accounting services to individuals and companies within the entertainment industry. I am a financial analyst with a large fortune 500 company. I am currently going back to school to fine tune my accounting and Tax skills in preparation for opening a small Tax and Bookeeping company. I enjoy the energy of the entertainment and sports arena. (Avid weight lifter, hiker, and music fanatic) I figured, why not service the industries for which I have an affinity in spirit. And Yes, I will be enrolling in this course the first of April.

I'm not familiar with a particular publication or resource. Our staff has had experience working in the advertising, and various sports associations. I'm sure we could put our heads together and have some great ideas to help you. By the way, whenever someone is considering specializing in an industry I suggest they check out the trade journals for that group. Often times they have articles on managing and financing such an operation.
