I am just ending a contract with an employer. They offered me a full time job as a financial administrator which I declined and they have now employed an administrator with no accounting experience. They are sending the new person on a Sage accounting course. I think there may still be a place for me there to do the monthly management accounts and help with the budgets, how should I approach this, charge fees and decide on the monthly hours that are needed?

| Absolutely!! My very first client was employer turned client. They did not have a need for a full time bookkeeper so I arranged to hire a receptionist (for much less) and I did the bookkeeping (at my higher rate). Sell yourself and the benefits you can provide (you already know the business). |
