My experience in the accounting field is my annual visit to my CPA to bring him my tax information.
From what I can glean from the various messages in this forum, this course will teach you accounting. However, is this enough to convince a client to use your services that are classroom tested but not field tested? There is a world of difference in those two situations.
My second concern regards the client that lost his bookkeeper six months ago and decided he could figure out his own debits and credits. You walk into his life and he realizes that he has had enough of this bookkeeping stuff and he turn the books over to you - and they are an absolute mess. Is there enough meat in this course for one to be able to unravel this clients mess and move on from there.
I would love to hear from anyone regarding my concerns but I would especially like to hear from those folks who did not have any prior accounting experience and are now operating a successful bookkeeping practice.

Jim Great Questions and the answer in short is "YES" regarding the Professional Bookkeeper program. This is a hands-on course designed to specifically give you the experience rather than the therory. In the PB program you will do the actaul books of business for 9 different companies such that not only do you know what you are doing but you have the confidence to do it as well. As a graduate of the Professional Bookkeeper program you will also have access to coaches in accounting and marketing so that you are not alone as you service your clients. We here in the coaching department use a motto that says "In business For Yourself but not by yourself" I would suggest that you take some time to read what others like you have said after taking the program by going here
For more information regarding the Professional Bookkeeper Program go here

| I have a limited knowledge of bookkeeping. I learned on the job by my boss, doing single entry bookeeping. I do balance everytime, but I am looking for an easier way to do it. Will this course help me? |
