Does anyone know if you have to be a CPA in the state of TN before you can designate yourself as an Accountant? Where can I find this information?
Thanks |

| Contact your State Department of Licensing over CPA's. Or, if you're a wannabe attorney, look it up in the State Statutes for licensing of CPA's. They're likely available on the Internet. |

Yes, in the State of Tennessee, you must be a CPA to use the terms Accountant or Accounting.
If you go to state.tn.gov and then find the link to licensing boards, then accounting board. If you do not find it, just PM me.
You can use Bookkeeper, Bookkeeping and Financial Services. |
