My husband and I have started our bookkeeping service after watching Allen's videos. I was wondering though if it was wise to send letters to CPAs and if so what type of letter should I send them? Should I ask for referrals or should I ask if they have any extra clientelle that they are not interested please send my way.

I would really appreciate any information on this.

Aimee,

I am one of the marketing coaches for Universal Accounting. If you want, you can either email me or call to get specifics regarding your questions. You have paid for the support so contact me for specifics.

In general, you should have networking and referral relationships with CPA's. Both so you can source out work you do not do or taxes and they will refer people back to you. When they get busy, you become a lifesaver.

Tell them how you price and it will compare favorably to what they are paying. Just do the work from your home not their place of business.
