UAC has suggested becoming a notary public to be able to offer additional services along with the bookkeeping business. I am applying for a notary public commission in Massachusetts ... they require stating the reasons you wish to become a notary because "a commission will only be granted where public convenience requires".
I have not reached the marketing portion of the course yet, so if any suggestions are in there, I apologize. But in the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions that would satisfy the "public convenience requirement"?
Thank you for your help. |

Maria,
As you interact with businesses you are perfectly positioned to be an asset for companies who are clients and those you partner with. As a bookkeeper and accountant, your natural relationships are with businesses like, CPA Firms, Payroll companies, Merchant Account Providers, Insurance Reps, Lawyers, and Banks etc etc. Each of these types of businesses are in a position to reference those services to the public they serve. This should suffice for a “Public convenience" |

| Each state is different. Check with your state and they will give you directions. |
