Does anyone ever feel they are in business alone with no one to talk to. I started my bookkeeping biz about 10 months ago and it seem like other bookkeeper/accountants are too busy to network with or even answer questions.
It would be nice to have someone to talk to for advice and things like that.
Is there anyone in a similar situation? |

What state is your business in?
What type of services do you offer your clients?
Do you belong to any networking groups or organizations?

You should maybe try joining your local Chamber of Commerce. I have really had good luck with my chamber giving my name to people looking for a bookkeeper. They have a monthly networking luncheon which I attend and I have met bank managers who also refer me to their clients who are trying to get business loans because often their books need a lot of help. Two of my clients are Chamber members and that was how I got them. If people see you at these functions enough they will think of you whenever bookkeeping is mentioned.
This forum is good for helping with questions. If you don't feel comfortable posting it you can send it to a users mailbox. I will be happy to help with answers if I can. I am located in California.
Hope this helps!

Don't forget your coaches as they are there not only for the accounting questions etc. but are there to help with moral support and role playing.
Just remember this, "You're in business FOR yourself but not by yourself getting paid what you are worth."
Best Wishes
