What do you think about offering a comission to area accountanting firms for referrals? Something like 5% of the monthly fee you charge this new client goes to the accounting firm that referred them to you...?
I think it has potential to help to gain some clients.
What do you think? |

| I would just network with other accounting firms and send some tax work their way. Eventually the accounting firms will refer bookkeeping clients your way in return. Build a relationship. |

But my business also offers tax work as well - I don't want to lose that business by giving it to them.
But I've heard (on this forum) that many accounting firms don't want bookkeeping work, so, I'm willing to take it. I'm just looking for a good motivating way of getting it - over my bookkeeping competition.
Thanks for the reply though. |

What you want to do might not be possible because of new
disclosure and anti identity theft legislation. Why not just network
as suggested. |
