If you are starting a bookkeeping business what reports are you submitting to your clients?
Quarterly Financial reports?
Monthly trial balances?
I guess I want to know what is the end product you will be giving a client?
Also what can you charge a small business for bookkeeping on a monthly basis? Do you charge separately for payroll returns?

Maria: provide your clients any reports that he
needs to help him grow his business. Just remember that the delivery of the reports is not the final service you are providing. To be of any use these reports have to be read and UNDERSTOOD
by the client. This is what will set your service as being different from all the others.
I personally bill separate for payroll but again it is dependent on how much of the payroll service the client wants to do.Because of liability i will not actually cut or sign paychecks. I leave that to the client.

Hello Richard,

What liability do you refer to in cutting or signing paychecks?

Thank you, Chris
