Just want to run a survey of "which companies are easy to get your feet wet" when you are starting you Bookkeeping business. :?
Of course, for seasoned bookkeepers any company is easy. But try to remember many moons ago, when you were baby stepping into the business.
Here an example of what I want some input:
Service companies (they don't have inventory)
Liquor stores (they have z-tapes, but a lot of inventory)
Trucking industry (fix assets, employees)
Franchises
Gardeners (self -employed)
etc...
I want to hear your opinion. If you started today, which would be the # 1 company you would go after and offer your services to, taking into consideration the high potential that you will get their business and that you will do a good job. |

Hi U,
I think service businesses, marketing, consulting, even mechanics, corp., are all great businesses to get your feet wet.
All books are different because people are, and not always simple to set up, even for veterans.
Don't concentrate on what type of co. but, just send out those letters once a week, and you will be up to your eyebrows in no time. Well, maybe a little longer...go, go, go...
