Trying to record Auto Sales Transaction in Simply Accounting.
DR Cash 2000
DR Accts. Rec. 3000
DR Contracts-in-Transit 15000
CR Auto Sales 18000
CR Sales Tax Collected 2000
In the sales module, can only choose 1 AR account. Therefore cannot impact the three above accounts unless do three separate transactions or use the General Journal module.
Is there any software that is more flexible that would allow me to do this using the sales module so that the transaction will post to the Customer Sub Ledger? |

Your entry is a sophisticated one that most off-the-shelf packages are not equipped to make except for the method you described. There are a couple of software packages out there that are specifically created for this type of business, but they ARE PRICEY.
If you're a student contact your Coach. Maybe together you can come up with an easier system that will do the same thing. |
