I am trying to get my client off the ancient-old software she is using. I have set-up Peachtree Premium for her retail business. She needed the serialized inventory. Everything is done except the old software calculated interest and payments for her customers and printed a payment schedule and contract. I can create an excel spreadsheet to do the calculations and I can type the contract info into MS Word but can I simplify the steps by making the Excel and Word Files print from Peachtree when the sales invoice is entered/printed?

How creative does Peachtree allow you to be when designing the invoices? I've done it before but it's been years and I remember it being frustrating. I had problems getting the right info to print and that was info FROM Peachtree. What I'm talking about now is pulling data from another program. Is it even possible?

I'm not a programmer but I've been successful at it before...just takes a very long time and I'm not sure if I want to go there. The client does not want to pay for a programmer.

I appreciate any heads-up that anyone can offer. If I know something IS possible then I can usually figure it out.

Hi there. I know it is possible to do it, but there are many 'add-on' applications these days for peachtree, especially the new release (2007). I'd google it. Some of the data integration packages are as cheap as $100. Better than you hacking around with it for 2 days or more to get the same results. Add-ons aren't as plentiful as QB but they are there.
