3. WINDOWS VISTA AND QUICKBOOKS SOFTWARE. ONLY QUICKBOOKS 2007 IS COMPATABLE WIT VISTA. ANY OF YOUR QUICKBOOKS CLIENTS WHO UPGRADE TO VISTA WILL HAVE TO ALSO UPGRADE TO QUICKBOOKS 2007

4.WINDOWS VISTA AND QUICKBOOKS SOFTWARE FOR THE BOOKKEEPER OR ACCOUNTANT. THINGS ARE NOT AS BAD FOR US.
INTUIT HAS SENT THE FOLLOWING INFO FOR OUR USE
Advising Clients on Windows Vista and QuickBooks Financial Software

Installing Windows Vista or Purchasing New Computer Pre-Installed with Windows Vista. Currently the most important advice to clients is that if they replace their operating system with Windows Vista, or if they replace their current computers with new computers running on Windows Vista, they should upgrade to QuickBooks 2007.

Currently the only existing alternative is the one noted above: To run separate computers (one for Windows Vista and one for the pre-Vista operating system). With a dual system approach, the prior versions of QuickBooks will remain supported on a pre-Vista operating system, while other applications are run in the Windows Vista environment.

Counsel Prudence Going Forward. We recommend that you counsel your clients to move forward with Windows Vista prudently and with the full knowledge that if they upgrade to Windows Vista, they will also need to upgrade to QuickBooks 2007, if they have not already done so.

Again, we are also hopeful that soon we can report back definitively on whether third party solutions would allow prior year versions of QuickBooks to run on Windows Vista.
