I would like to welcome Jody from California to the forum, let's hear from you Jody. Welcome, welcome, welcome!
Also to Marcia a great big welcome, and to all of you new on the forum this birthday month of mine! No I am not telling my age. 8)
It is hard to stay away from this forum with so many great talents we have here. Great luck to all of us! And a few blessings sure wouldn't hurt.
Be confident and walk proud everyone! Only in America!!! Well, Canada too! I don't want to leave our neighbors out, we all have common goals to achieve and what better place than this forum to receive the support, and to give whenever we see the opportunity.
Also, it would be great if we had a conference of our own to put faces with the voices and the posts we hear from and read everyday. Has anyone looked into that? Without the high costs of dues for attending? I think this could be a great way to share our experiences on a more individual and personable level.
What do you guys think? Can we get some momentum going on this? Shall we have a vote? Keeping in mind a central location in the US with respect to the membership here, could be achieved if we all help each other out--keeping costs as low as possible for those of us that hasn't broke the bank yet.
I think it would be great! What does everyone think about this idea?
Looking forward to some great replies! Have a great weekend everyone!

Monica,
Ya shouldn't have established a friendship with me, called me and then(!) told me your age!!! Never fear, your secret is safe with me...I'm good at numbers and additions and subtraction and all...but just have a little trouble with "P/L On Disp of F/A" when I'm calculating age!!!!!
Happy Birthday! |

| Well if I was able to take off of work and still make the trip affordable, that would be great. Unfortunately, affordable for me is something that is pretty local at this moment. I still think it's a good idea though. At other forums I have been to, they've done things like that but mainly for members that were in their area. All of the events have been quite positive from what I've read so I'm sure this would be great as well. :) |

My thanks to Marcia, and to Shadowdust,
I always read both of your posts, and Marcia you are tooo funny. The P/L on Disp of F/A in calculating age, well thats something I hadnt thought of, but that's hilarious. I bet UMissMe2 couldn't beat that one. 8).
Shadow, it would have to be economical for me as well, but if we could get a good response of how many would actually come, then we could work out the details to make it easier for those of us not making the BIG bucks yet, to make the mutually beneficial trip affordable.
We'll just have to see how many are interested. If there's not a good response, then the ones that want to do this could work that out for ourselves, although if we could get a good turnout, then that would be even more beneficial. I just enjoy the forum, and the correspondence that I have with many of you is very gratifying.
Have a great day everyone!

| In theory I think it's a great idea, but the reality is that unless it was close to home, I probably would not want to spend the money to travel to it. |
