I have a client who is using QB 2006 Pro. We want to switch for me to do bookkeeping at my office. Yet, he still want to work on the file as well for invoicing purposes. Is there anyway, other than using QB Online, to for both of us to work on the same file without transfering the file back and forth and losing or duplicating information in the process. If you wondering why we are not considering QB Online is that it does not have features that we want to use, such as Job Costing.
Thanks,
CMT

Look into GoToMyPC.com. Assuming both PCs have internet connectivity, you could access his PC from your office. You would not be able to be in the file at the same time, but you could work around that I am sure.

Hope that helps,

Jerry

If you had the QB 2006 Accountant's Version, you would also be able to make an accountant's file and work off of that version while your client worked on the file, as well. You would need to review your limitations, however, I use this a lot and it works well when the clients need the file on a daily basis for recordkeeping.
