| I have decided to take the plunge and do the practice builder seminar this fall. Has anyone else here done it? Would you be willing to share your experience? |

Update:
I have the seminar and have completed the DVD's.
To put it mildly the course blew me away. I had decided to watch the first DVD last night and do one a day but I just kept going and finished the program in the early am hours. The information was practical, compelling, and will be worth every penny.
I also intend to visit UA in Utah for the live version. You guys really practice what you preach and have earned a loyal customer for life. |

Thanks!
Really good life changing decisions are rare. I really believe I made one in July when I decided to order the PB and PTP courses.
I am now working on the QBS certification and will finish the PTP by the end of the month. I did not realize how much I would be learning. I learned a lot in four years of college, but none of it was as practical and applicable to the real world as this has been. I wish I would have found this stuff 7 years ago and saved myself $150,000 in tuition. ($65,000 of which I am still paying back.)
I will keep updating this thread as I progress through the rest of the training and begin marketing in earnest. It will be really interesting to look back when I reach that 3 year goal next October. |

David,
Can you tell me where to find info on the client generator? I have heard a few things about it but I cannot seem to find an overview of it. It was mentioned several times in the practice builder.
Thanks!! |

I just received some feedback from another UPB Student that I wanted to share.
Enjoy:
I having been planning to contact you regarding your company’s new Universal Practice Builder DVD program that you were filming when I was in Salt Lake City. I received a copy of it as you folks said that I would. I took some time to go through it. You folks know how to do things first class. You have gone from not having a UPB self-study product at all, to having the best product on the market by far. Even though I attended your workshop, having the DVD to revisit it, is proving to be very valuable. When you have been to as many seminars and workshops as I have, one has a tendency to think they have heard it all. Revisiting the workshop, through the UPB DVD series, has brought me back to a central focus on the things I need to be doing now. I think that I will review it every year from now on. It has made my Utah experience, which was already tremendously valuable, even greater.
Great job.
Don H
Best Wishes
Roger

Update:
I got my first client this week. A small coffee shop. His billings from me will not be very big in the early going but once he begins implementing the advice I give him I expect they will grow as his business grows.
I have also brought in a new bookkeeper. He is training on the PB course right now and I am going to put him through the practice builder next week so he can help me market. Things are really picking up around here! |

Cicero,
I can't tell you where to go to find out about the Client Generator because we do not have a website for it. I will however list our what we provide and you or anyone else can contact me and we can discuss it.
The Client Generator starts out with one month of us marketing for you and 3 months of weekly coaching.
-We will fill one QuickBooks class for you with at least 15 qualified business owners. Each class should result in at least 4 clients.
-We will fly out to you prior to starting to work with you at your office. -We will also fly out and assist you the day of your QuickBooks Class.
-12 weeks of weekly coaching sessions
-3 months of coaching (Accounting, Software and marketing)
-We will assist you in completing your marketing plan
-You will receive the UAC Starter Kit - Business cards, letterhead and envelopes
-You will receive the UAC Marketing Kit - Demo book, Customized Marketing CD and 1000 special customized In The Black Marketing Cards
-You can use Unlimited Business Assessments during those 3 months (40 page custom report we create for your clients or prospective clients to compare their business with their competitors by size and NAICS code)
So, that in general is the list of what we provide. It gives us a chance to work with you and test how you do. After doing the coaching and 1 QuickBooks class, we will assess where you are and then consider of we should do more QuickBooks classes with you.
To discuss this more, email me at david@universalaccounting.com and I will set up a personal meeting and we can go over this in more detail including the price.
Hope this helps

| Thanks David! I am looking forward to working with you guys. I just need to work out the finances with Clay and get this thing rolling. I think I spoke with you by phone a few Fridays ago if I am not mistaken. It was really kind of cool to talk to someone I have seen on the videos. |
