Hi all, just finishing up Unit 1 in the Bookkeeping modules in addition to doing some planning for my business. I was wondering if anybody has input on becoming QuickBooks Pro Advisor.

Also, when first starting out in business is the best package from Quickbooks the Accountant package?

I am in the process of becoming a QB Pro Advisor. The training for the certification is pretty advanced so you might want to do the QB Specialist certification first if you don't know the software well. The price is really low if you need the software too and depending on your area the website can drive business to you when people go there looking for QBs help.

I think it is a good investment.

Thanks for any input. To become a pro advisor all you have to do is pay Intuit $449.00/yr plus your state tax. For that you get a free subscription of quickbooks online, the simple start cd the accountants edition cds and the Enterprise cd. You also receive discounts on most Intuit products and free technical support. Finally Intuit will give you assistance in mktg your business. If you decide to become certified, the certification test is available for no additional cost and if you pass Intuit will promote your business thru the softwarew itself and also on their website. Altogether it is a fantastic bargain for the price.
