Hi i live in Arizona and I'm considering purchase of a firm or portion of a firm. can anybody help me with this? could you tell me where I should start?

I used to be a member of the Arizona Society of CPA's. At the rear of their monthly newsletter contained classifieds for everyone selling their businesses. You can also try http://www.accountingpracticesales.com
Both are good sources for anyone thinking of buying.

That site is an excellent resource. I took a look at the available practices in my area and it looks like 90 percent of their business is taxes and only 10 percent write up. It is interesting that so many accountants neglect the write up side of business. |
