I plan to start a home based bookkeeping business within two months. I currently have QB Pro 2003.

If I plan to have as many clients as possible as quickly as I can, will Pro be enough to support that(2008 version) or would you recommend that I purchase the Accountants version?

Hi there,

The Quickbooks pro is great for you. This will allow you to use the software to account for your clients and it's great because most of your clients are going to be using Quickbooks Pro. There is really no need to add the additional expense of going into the Accountants Version

Pro and premier are bot good products. personally I use premier myself.
I am a qb proadvisor so the software is free. I get unlimited support. I can offer discounts to my clients. Iam not limited by the type of business that I can service where with Pro I have to have the client come to me or I have to go to the clients site. This last feature has changed in 2008 Pro now offers 6 mo of remote access free. However premier gives you a full yr.

You probably should get QB Premier Accountant edition (it includes contractor, manufacturing, non profit, etc). It also includes a Working
Trial balance, fixed asset manager, financial statement designer, and the ability to enter reversing JEs. None of that is available with QB Pro.
