Hello,
I am a programmer and I need to know how to deal with the cash payment and cash received in a computer software.
The case when a cash received from customer or vendor is this yield to the credit balance of his account ?
Also in the case when a cash payment from customer or vendor is this yield to the debit balance of his account ?
sorry this makes me confused since I am not an accountant
Thanks |

| Not exactly sure what you mean by your question.. who is "his account" are you talking about the person receiving the money? |

I agree that your question isn't very clear, but this is how a business normally enters it:
Cash received:
Debit checking account
Credit accounts receivable (or income)
Cash payments:
Debit expense account (or asset, accts payable, liability, or owners draw, etc. depending on the nature of the payment)
Credit checking account |
