Hi, does anyone know of a good site where i can find information about types of computer equipment and its depreciation tables. I am doing accounting for a start-up telecommunications company that purchases a lot of computer equipment, such as servers, RAM, computer parts, software and i have to track all that as fixed assets.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Thank you Go to the IRS website and lookup pub 946. However a word of caution. The pub has yet to be updated for the changes in the tax law that applies to any purchases after dec 31st 2007. Also you will need to keep track of separately not only your fixed assets (computers and related accessories) but also your intangible assets such as software.
