In the fall I am going to take a class on taxation with the course book:
South-Western Federal Taxation 2009: Individual Income Taxes (with TaxCut® Tax Preparation Software CD-ROM), 32nd Edition
I presume I will have an answer to this question when the course begins, but in anticipation of getting started, will this book and the HR Block TaxCut Software be compatible for year 2008, or since it's dated 2009, will it only be applicable for 2009?

| Although some of the numbers will be different, the tax information you will learn will be compatible. |
