Is there any situation where you take a depreciation expense on an operating lease? I know you do on a capital lease but not sure about not ever taking on operating. Thanks.

Typically Operating Leases would not be depreciated, because the whole payment is an expense to the company.

Very true, with Operational Lease, the leased object will legally not be owned the company. It is better to consider operational lease as "rent".
