| I have a very small bookkeeping business. I get health insurance through my husband's Co., but they don't have a dental plan. Someone told me that if I joined the Small business Assoc of New England, I could get dental insurance through them. My question is, could I take this as a business expense if I don't have employees and I'm not considered an employee? |

You can take the cost of insurance as an itemized deductionif your total medical paid for the yr. exceeds 7.5% of
your adjusted gross income. Dental insurance does NOT qualify for the SE health insurance deduction on the front of the 1040 if that is what you are questioning. |
