I have been on the net for quite some time and with all the pop-ups and ads for making money online come up regularly, I was wondering the existence of their reality. I have come to know many things like the SCAMS and the RICHES that are there. Some say …that there is a lot of scam and yet some argue in getting rich!!!! This is all so confusing……….do you people have any suggestions on that and what can be the positive for this.

Well, you don't get rich overnight unless you win the PowerBall Lottery. If you want to create a comfortable financial living for yourself then you have to work for it. Do not listen to these online people who are saying they got rich in xx amount of months. A large percentage of the time, they are lying. They will say anything to steal your money. All they are selling you are wild imaginations and dreams.

One of the most famous online scams out there: Get paid to take surveys.
You are told you can make tons of money doing this...WRONG! I've never spent any money to do these things.

Now, I have talked to people online who made money pretty fast but they actually were selling information in Ebooks and stuff. This is the same information you can find on your own for free if you put the time in.

Starting a business takes work and chances are during the first year or two, you will operate at a loss and you may feel like a failure too. Don't give up, you must keep at it and consult with professionals who have your best interest at heart.

If you want to start a business, do a little research and find something that you will enjoy selling/doing. Learn a little bit about e-commerce marketing and go from there. Online business is a good place to start if you are on a shoestring budget.

Which ones are you talking about? I also aw a variety of those adds. I believe that the ones you find that will tell you to make great sums of money online by filling out surveys and stuf, are very dangerous. I believe they first tell you its absolutely free, and then they ask your creditcard to deduct for instance $ 100 (unless you make use of the clicked-buttoned coupon that provides a discount of 50% of course).

I have no idea if this is legitemate or not, but I wouldent risk falling for it when the immediately ask for creditcard data and all.

Regardless of whether you are considering opportunities online or in person, this old adage rings true - "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is".

For those of us who are self-employed it is possible to make lots of money online and offline. For many people it is really about taking action and following through before giving up. For people who are looking for quick, guaranteed money, sometimes it is best to just get a job :D

Like stasia2003 said, the way you make money online is by selling digital information like e-books. There's no scam because it's your own business, you don't have to "buy" something to get into the "e-book business".

You write your own e-book (write on MS Word, then transform it into a PDF file), then you put up a website with a sales letter to sell it (or pay someone on Elance to do it for you don't know and you're not willing to learn), set up a PayPal account to accept payments, open a Google AdWords account so your site will show up on the first page of Google whenever your potential customers search for what you're selling (of course, it's not free, you pay for every visitor, but you make your money back when they buy your e-book!) and there's also other services that offer pay-per-click service like Yahoo and MSN. Basically that's it. There's little cost since you write your own book and there's no costs to produce it. A domain name registration is 10 bucks/year. If you know how to build your website, it costs nothing, if you don't, you can get a simple sales letter style website for $50. Then you spend a little bit on advertising and if you did everything right, as soon as the customers start showing up, you'll see the return.

There's also other business models to make money online like recommending products or services and getting a commission for it (affiliate marketing) or displaying Google AdSense ads on a website and getting paid per click, but the competition on the English language market makes it really hard to make it if you don't know what you're doing.

Having your own product, be it a book, a software or a service is a much better route to make easy and fast money. It may not be as fast as the scammers claim, but it's faster than other kinds of business where you have a huge start-up cost.

Here are some names of people you can trust to learn from on how to build your online business: Yanik Silver, Frank Kern, Eben Pagan, Mike Filsaime, Jeff Walker, Stompernet (Andy Jerkins and Brad Fallon), Ed Dale, John Reese, Perry Marshall, Russell Brunson.

These guys are "scam free"! Most of them don't offer cheap e-books or courses, so you can Google them and get on their email lists and wait until they open the doors of their coaching programs. I personally have been on Frank Kern and Eben Pagan's coaching programs and also I'm a member of Stompernet (membership is closed for new members right now) and the knowledge I've learned from them made me a good chunk of money. But of course you don't need to buy anything from any of these guys to get started. Most of them offer advanced strategies for people that already have established businesses online, but at least it's good to know who are "the good guys" when you're starting out!

PM me if you want to talk more about it. My biggest tip for you is to stay away from resale right and private label rights e-books (books that you buy the rights to resell). This is another big scam!
