| I currently hold an Associates degree in Accounting and have been employed 10 years as an accounting manager in a privately held business. The business was recently purchased by a large corporation which has changed my position a great deal. I am employed in the steel industry which uses steel specific accounting software, so I am not familiar with quicken/peachtree. With the state of the current economy, cutbacks, etc, I feel now may be the time to branch out on my own. What specific courses would you suggest I begin taking to ready myself for this task? |

| Not sure what direction you should pursue, but in this economy, it's a great time to pursue education and broaden your skill set! |

| Take Ken's advice. Universal Accounting has a system for small business accounting (and tax) geared for folks in your (our) situation. The first step is to spend some time on the UAC website. |

you want to start up by your own.?
if it is really so, then i think such a current economic trend, it is really difficult to come up with new business. |
