Hi All,
Not sure if this is a question for this forum or not, but here goes anyway. I have found it increasingly more difficult to find skilled professionals with both IT and accounting experience. My company Elev8 Australia based in Perth, specializes in providing the Sage Pastel Evolution accounting software. To find project managers skilled and experienced in implementing Sage Evolution is near on impossible, so the next best thing is someone at least with experience in the aforementioned skills. Surely this would be a career well sought after?
Am I alone or are there others suffering the same issues in finding people? |

| I have yet to find anyone qualified for what you are looking for. If you do find someone with those skills, treat them right. |

| Most of the Sage softwares are not difficult to work with if you have a good grasp of the accounting process. One of the biggest problems I keep running into, is that the schools systems don't focus on the day to day workings of the small business, and how the software then works like the actual hand posted systems that we have been using for over 500 years. |

| In this highly competitive hire & fire market, it is too risky to focus on individual products especially from a Project Manager's perspective. |
