Can someone please point me to a source (book or website) about accounting principles for specific industries. I once used a book (many years ago) that was about accounting for specific businesses like accounting for Property Management, Travel Agencies, Hotels, Hospitals, etc... .

| I onced used (several years ago) a book (can't remember the name or author or publisher) that had practically every indutry (1 chapter per industry). If I find something I'll let you know. |

You might get a copy of the financial statements from a large business in the particular industry you are interested in to get a clue. That being sauid the vast majority of businesses we would be working with all use the same standard set of accounts.
ps If you use quickbooks another source would be to use the standard chart of accounts in the software setup. |

Look for "Portfolio of Accounting Systems for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses" publish for the National Sociey of Accountants by Prentice-Hall. |
