I have three potential clients who all want me to process payroll for them. I have the payroll processing service software from QuickBooks, but I'm wondering how to determine how much to charge for this service? The Universal Accounting program has a calculation section on how to determine your fee for services, but the payroll part of the form is for after the fact payroll. I need suggestions on how to calculate or what fee to charge for full payroll services.

The Universal Billing Calculation sheet speaks of using 6 points per paycheck for the preparation of the payroll. This works out to be $3-$4.75 per paycheck. Then we add the After-the-Fact Payroll numbers to that.
