Hello everyone. I am new to this forum. My first question:
What is the going rate for accountants in different areas of the country here? I have heard from a few people in my state that Accountant aim to charge $200 per hour for their services to the community. That's seems a bit too much to me, but they work like lawyers I understand. They are paid for their knowledge. I am thinking about starting up something like this, but am not sure what rate I should calculate. Does anyone have any input on this subject? Would appreciate it...thanks! |

If they do the work I charge $40.00/mo and if I do it I charge $50.00+/ month depending of the number of payperiods and employees. My time involved is 10 minutes per month to 30 minutes per month so it works out to $100-$240/hour |

What software do you use or would recommend? As of right now, none of my clients need payroll, but if it came down to it, I would use Excel to keep track of each employee and the total payroll altogether, as well as to calculate how much withholding there would be, etc. |
