I currently work full time as an accountant at a huge corporation and I just bought this course to start my own bookkeeping service on a part time basis.
For those that have finished the course and/or own their own bookkeeping practice, how many clients did you have before you decided to quit your full time job and work your bookkeeping business full time? Did you make sure your Business income equaled your employment income before you made that jump?
Also a general question for those that have completed the course how long have you had your practice and how many clients do you have? |

Derrick,
This all depends on the kind of income you want to generate. You would be charging an average of $300 a month to bookkeeping clients. Since you are an accountant you could always offer some other accounting services and generate some extra $. You may consider doing taxes as well. This is a very lucrative service.
When figuring how much you need to make, remember to account for health insurance and other benefits you may be getting right now from your employer and also you will be paying self employed taxes so take that in consideration.
When to make the jump? I would suggest, wait until you are able to pay your bills with your accounting practice and then make the jump.
Good luck.
