Hello,
Questions:

I was wondering how often do you need to pick up the clients box?
I also wonder how it works if you go out of town for a week or so?
And...will meeting with clients in the evenings work for most small buisnesses, for the initial set-up or pick ups?
I stay home with my children and cannot meet with clients until my husband were to come home?

I will be getting started soon, but want to make sure this will work for me. Thank you for any help.

Most of your questions very from business to business. I would usually pick up the client organizer once a week. This was usually more for my sanity. That way, at the end of the month I did not have several clients worth of work to do all at once at the end of the month. Most of my clients were open until 7:30 or 11:00, (retail and fast food) so, pick-up in the evening was not a problem.

I also have to wait for husband to come home before I meet with clients. I mostly go to them on the weekends when my husband is off. It will take you a little time to get going especially if you have to work around your husbands schedule. However if you have some connections it might not take you long at all. I have family members that own their own businesses so they were the first ones that I contacted. They gave me their business because they were not happy with the unscrupulous accountant that they had. They have since referred friends to me I also do personal bookkeeping for those that have a terrible time keeping their check books balanced. I charge a $50.00 fee for that and I do this service 4 times a month seeing as how it only takes 15 minuts. Because I charge such a low fee for that service I have alot of clients for that service. You will build your practice up before you know it. I just moved my practice to an office building and I started in 2003.
