Hello,
I am using Quickbooks pro 2004 edition. I have got many transaction in my bank per month (that I can download free anytime).

1.If I use quickbooks features to dwonload, do I have to buy additional service from quickbooks for this download?

2.What if my bank is not the list that can be downloaded using direct connect from Quickbooks, can I still download them and then export it into Quickbooks by what quickbooks call Webconnect method.

3.Is their a easier way to handle the reconciliation (i.e. without loading them into quickbooks)

Thanks in advance,
R

Usually to import transactions to QB from a bank, you would need a compatable Banking institution. Most of the larger banks are compatible. Some banks have aftermarket software that will download into QB but it is not true "Online Banking". Typically your bank should know if they are QB compatable. Many banks and credit unions are Quicken compatible but not QuickBooks compatible.

usualy the method of importing data from one system to the other needs a defind file structure, format and control.
when a software is well known and wideley used, big organizations such as banks, provide their transactions in that structure. if not, and they do have their own standart, adjustment is needed to change format and controls.
for that reason a third service is needed.
