Hi,

I am a new student to this course and am just wondering since I have a child and a family how long does it take normally to finish this course......

I'm very confused about the way I should study for this course -whether I should read the module first and then watch its tape or vice-versa.All you experienced people please assist me .

Also after completing this course can I sit for a Chartered Accountant exam or I have to have a degree in Accounting.

Priya: The chartered accountant designation is similar to the certified public accountant CPA,
here in the United States. I could be wromg but
I would imagine your country or province would require a college degree. What country do you live in?

Hi,

Well I'm in the United States----I know CA has to work certain hours and then sit for a CPA exam ......and that is common for all countries....

I was more looking for the answer that the best way to study for this course is reading the text first and then watching the video only for reference purposes....

Thankyou...

As I have worked with many students I have noticed that the most common study habits are watching a video Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and then Thursday. They either will review things over the weekend or just take the time off from their studies.

Whatching 4 videos (VHS or DVD) a person usually finsishes the Professional Bookkeeper Program in about 4 weeks. Four to six weeks is average and 5 days is the record to then take and pass the final exam.

As another answer to your question, I know of many that watch the videos on the Weekends. They may view one Saturday morning and then another Saturday evening and perhaps do the same thing on Sunday. This way they have their whole week free for themselves. (Even if you did 3 classes a weekend it would only and one more week to complete the class.)

Best Wishes

The way my friend and I did it was we worked Monday-Friday doing one video a day and doing the work to that video. We went through one module a week. On the weekends we took time of to be with our families. The best time to study is in the morning when the children are in school. If you have small children you can study at nap time. Most young children sleep long enough for you to watch the video. You can always do the work part of the video at night when they are in bed. I hope this helps.
