An employer wants to offer employee-paid health insurance to his employees. If he does not have a sec. 125/cafeteria plan, can he deduct the health insurance premiums before tax for the employees?

If the employee pays a portion of the insurance, the employer must have a Sec. 125 plan in place in order to deduct the health insurance
pre-tax. Groups such as AFLAC can help set up a Sec. 125 plan if necessary.
