I am thinking of using the Intuit's ProSeries Tax Software in my business. Does anyone know whether this is a smart step toward tax preparation? Pro's or Con's?
Thanks

I have found that most all the Tax Softwares that I have tried, get the job done. I have used Drake, ProSeries, TAASC, and TaxCut. I would have to say the one I feel most comfortable on is ProSeries. My two cents say it's a smart step.

This year ProSeries is trying new options that focus on small businesses with fewer clients that the norm. I have had problems with pay per return costs in the past being very high for the size of my business. These new options reduce costs and should increase profit or at least let us focus on marketing and advertising. ProSeries has served me well in all other aspects. I am very pleased with the program.

I am a partner in a two partner CPA firm-we have used ProSeries last twelve years, and this past tax season I finally got fed up. Several major glitches in business/individual software, and tech support people are clueless. All this for over $6,000 per year for all the products.

I have recently looked at ATX/Kleinrock-what a deal for about $1,500. You really need to check it out. I do about 250 returns in total.

I just finished my first year with Pro Series and couldn't be happier. I switched from ATX after several years with them. I have a small practice so used the "Pay per Return" plan from ProSeries. It was just as reasonable as ATX's PPR system; I wouldn't go back to ATX.
